A space for ideas, exploration, and sharing what we learn.
I am Maram Alessa, a middle school English language teacher at Dar Al-Bayan Private Schools since 18 August 2026, and a researcher in English literature. I hold an MA in English Language (Literature) from King Abdulaziz University and a BA in English Language from Umm Al-Qura University, awarded with First Class Honors.
My practice connects my academic background in language and literature with teaching English as a Foreign Language. I aim to create learner-centered lessons that develop listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through varied teaching strategies, ongoing assessment and reflection, I support students’ needs and help them build confidence and independence as language learners.
My research interests include contemporary, comparative and Saudi literature, feminist theory and identity studies. I am committed to continuous professional development and to connecting research with meaningful classroom learning.
